Pet Solutions

Eliminating trash and controlling pet waste is an area of growing concern for all Fairfax residents. Fairfax Volunteers is helping to keep the streets and pathways clear of dog waste in 2 ways.

First by installing 10 dog litter bag stations throughout town and popular dog walking routs. The stations are filled with biodegradable bags and maintained by volunteers. This program has met with so much success that two additional dispensers have been funded and are refilled by the residents of Forrest Ave.

Secondly The Fairfax volunteers have distributed tasteful "not here" signs. The signs are available through the Volunteer office or town hall (415 453-1584), for a minimum donation of $5.50. Brochures regarding dog issues are also available at town hall. Please join us in keeping our Town "strolling friendly."

If you'd like to volunteer to monitor one of these stations or for more information, contact us at fairfaxvolunteers@earthlink.net.
