The mission of the Fairfax Gardeners Alliance is to create beautiful, welcoming public spaces in downtown Fairfax for our residents and visitors.
Come be a part of our team and have fun making our green spaces thrive! Our first project is the landscaping along Center Blvd. between Pastori and Pacheco – weeding, trimming, and making it look pretty!

Meet at the Fairfax Community Center

Join us for our annual Creek Clean-up, and learn about life in the creek from nature educator Mia Andler.
Please join us at 10:00 a.m. for our annual creek clean-up to help Fairfax keep our creek free of litter and other debris. By pitching in to clean the creek every year, you can help prevent flooding in town.
You will receive a short orientation and an assignment that matches your level of ability and interest…all are welcome! Please wear your boots and bring your gloves…we will have some extra gloves and will provide garbage bags.
As we collect debris, Mia will be telling us about the plant and wild life that lives in our local creeks. Check out Mia’s work at www.vildafoundation.org.
We will be walking in the creek, so wear water shoes and be prepared for mud!
MARIN ON FIRE
Friday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Women’s Club, 46 Park Road.
Come and watch this alarming movie about what would happen should a wildfire occur in the hills of Marin, narrated by Peter Coyote.
The Fairfax Volunteers will be sponsoring the showing of the film. Our very own new Fire Chief, Mark Mills will be on hand to answer questions following the film and talk about the steps you can take to ensure the safety of your family & property should such an event occur.
Please don’t miss this opportunity!
We’re well below our expected rainfall as we zoom towards February.
The Marin Municipal Watershed district has a lot of great, helpful information about managing your water and tracking the health of our reservoirs. Click here to see it! http://www.marinwater.org/
